PASL Announces Quarterfinal Matchups In Ron Newman Cup Playoffs

The Professional Arena Soccer League Tuesday officially confirmed the single-game matchups for quarterfinal games for the 2013-14 Ron Newman Cup playoffs.

In games Saturday, the Monterrey Flash will travel to the Dallas Sidekicks and the four-time defending league champion San Diego Sockers host Toros Mexico.

On March 1, the Cleveland Freeze will host the Cincinnati Saints.

Winners of those games will advance to the semifinals March 15 at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL, with those winners playing for league championship there March 16.

The Flash-Sidekicks winner will face Hidalgo La Fiera in the semifinals and the Sockers-Mexico winner takes on the Las Vegas Legends.

The winner of the Cleveland-Cincinnati game will face Detroit Waza Flo.

The Chicago Mustangs, who finished the season undefeated at 16-0 and won the Eastern Diviion regular season title, have already earned a bye into the tournament semifinals by way of hosting the event and will face either Cleveland, Cincinnati or Detroit March 15.
