Whitecaps Reunite Rusin With Rennie

Major League Soccer's Vancouver Whitecaps announced the signing Friday of former UCLA Bruin defender Brad Rusin, reuniting him with head coach Martin Rennie, who he played over two seasons for with the Carolina RailHawks in USL First Division, scoring two goals in 54 games.

He most recently played 1 1/2 seasons in Denmark for HB Koge, scoring three goals in 38 games and seeing them get promoted to the Danish Superliga in 2011 and the First Division in 2012.

In his senior season with the Bruins, he was named co-captain, defensive Most Valuable Player, and a First Team All-Pac 10 selection.

Rusin also spent time in the USL Premier Development League with the Bradenton Academics (2005), Ventura County Fusion (2007) and San Fernando Valley Quakes (2008).
