Ian Bennett and Hewerton each scored two goals as the defending Major Indoor Soccer League champion Milwaukee Wave extended their league-high winning streak to 11 games with a 12-6 road victory against the Chicago Soul Friday at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.
Cuitlahuac Meza, Pablo Da Silva and Jeff Richie each scored goals for the expansion Soul in the loss.
Milwaukee is now 12-2 and leading the league by a half-game over the Baltimore Blast (12-4).
Chicago is 6-10 and sharing fifth place with the Rochester Lancers (also 6-10), seven games behind the Wave.
Both teams meet again in this weekend home-and-home series Saturday at the Wave's US Cellular Arena.
