The Seattle Sounders Women of the USL W-League announced Tuesday University of Washington women's head coach Leslie Gallimore, the longest-tenured coach in the Pacific 12 Conference at 19 years, will serve as the team's technical director, but will not give up her current job with the Huskies.
At Washington, she has a career record of 199-158-34 and led her teams to 12 appearances in the NCAA Women's College Cup.
She is a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of American West Region Coach of the Year and has been inducted into the California Hall of Fame.
She was an All-American at the California Bears, reaching the NCAA Women's College Cup as a player and assistant coach and was a player and assistant coach with the US Women's National Team.
Gallimore also is an NSCAA and US Soccer coaching instructor and has served on the NSCAA's Board of Directors.
