Carlos Farias had a three-point goal, a two-pointer, and an assist to lead the host Chicago Soul to a 13-8 upset victory over the current Major Indoor Soccer League-leading Baltimore Blast Friday at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.
It's the second time the expansion Soul have beaten the Blast at home: They earned a 12-10 victory against them December 21.
Fredrick Degard added a goal and an assist for the Soul, now 6-9 and in fourth place in the standings, six games behind the Blast.
Pat Healey, Aduato Neto, Max Ferdinand and Michael Lookingland each had goals for the Blast, who still lead the league at 12-3, but now by a half-game to the defending league champion Milwaukee Wave (10-2), who host the Wave this Saturday.
The Soul then welcomes the Wave to town next Saturday.
