Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake Wednesday announced defender Nat Borchers underwent surgery the first week of the month to repair a right quadricep tendon that was torn in late 2011.
Surgery was needed after the quadricep was unresponsive to continued rehab after the 2012 season.
