Rapids Move Up In SuperDraft Order After Trading Larentowicz To Fire

The Colorado Rapids received the 11th overall pick in Thursday's Major League Soccer SuperDraft in Indianapolis, a 2013 international roster spot and allocation money from the Chicago Fire in exchange for midfielder Jeff Larentowicz and the Rapids' 30th overall selection in the draft.

Larentowcz, playing on his third MLS franchise after the New England Revolution (2005-09) and the Rapids (2010-12), started 32 regular seasons for Colorado last season, the seventh straight season he has started 26 or more games.

At New England, he led them to two MLS Cup championship final appearances, and, in Colorado, helped them win the 2010 title.
