Impact Names Schallibaum New Head Coach

Former Swiss Super League player and coach Marco Schallibaum was named Monday the new head coach of Major League Soccer's Montreal Impact, replacing Jesse Marsch, who was fired November 3.

Schallibaum played from 1980 to 1995 in the league before transitioning to coaching in the league for the next ten years.

He last worked for FIFA as a coaching instructor in Qatar, Malaysia and South Korea.
