Findley Heads To RSL, So Says Soccer By Ives

Soccer By Ives reported Tuesday Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake acquired the rights to forward Robbie Findley in a trade with the Portland Timbers for the second time in his career.

Findley, who most recently played in England's League Two with Gillingham, where he has an assist over seven games since September, was selected by the Timbers in the 2011 MLS Expansion Draft from RSL, where he had 12 goals and four assists in 27 appearances during their 2009 MLS Cup-winning season.

From 2007 to 2009, Findley had 29 goals for RSL.

In 2010, Findley played for Nottingham Forest in the second-level English Football Championship, scoring six goals over 25 appearances.
