Chantel Three-Pointer Gives Silver Knights Win Over Lancers

Marcus Chantel hit a game-winning three-point goal off Darren Toby with less than 90 seconds to play in regulation as the Syracuse Silver Knights edged the host Rochester Lancers, 15-14, Saturday in Major Indoor Soccer League play from Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial.

Neto led Syracuse with a brace and an assist and the Silver Knights, 7-11 and in sixth place in the league standings, 6 1/2 games behind the new league leader, the defending champion Milwaukee Wave, will host the Baltimore Blast this Friday.

Mauricio Salles scored four goals for the Lancers, in last place in the standings at 5-11 and 7 1/2 games behind the Wave. Rochester travels to the Wichita Wings Friday.
