For the second game in a row, Byron Alvarez fired off four goals, this time including a three-point shot, as the host Missouri Comets defeated the Wichita Wings, 24-11, Sunday in Major Indoor Soccer League play from Independence Events Center in Independence, MO.
It was also Alvarez's seventh multi-goal game this season.
John Sosa added a brace and an assist in the victory and Brian Harris also fired off a three-pointer and assisted on another goal for Missouri.
Geison had a hat trick for the Wings and Tiguinho also posted a three-point goal.
Missouri evens their record to 7-7, third-best in the league and five games behind the league-leading Baltimore Blast (12-2). The Comets host the defending league champion Milwaukee Wave Thursday night before heading to the Wings two nights later.
Wichita, 5-8 this season, in in fourth place, 6 1/2 games behind the Blast.
