Sundhage Brings USWNT's Algarve Cup Roster Back For Three-Team Tournament In Japan

US Women's National Team head coach Pia Sundhage Wednesday brought together again her 23-player roster from the 2012 Algarve Cup tournament in Portugal that finished third earlier this month and will see them compete at the inaugural Women's Kirin Challenge Cup in Japan next month.

The tournament, which will feature three of the top four teams in the latest FIFA Women's World Rankings, will have the US facing the host country April 1 in Sendai, followed by an April 3 game in Chiba against Brazil.

The top-ranked US team is 9-1-0 this season, with their loss coming to Japan March 5 in Portugal, denying the US a chance to defend their Algarve Cup championship won in 2011.
