Islanders Welcome Back Telesford, Richardson For Second Stints

The Puerto Rico Islanders of the North American Soccer League announced Thursday midfielder Osei Telesford and forward Greg Richardson are returning for second stints with the team.

Telesford, a Trinidad & Tobago native who played professionally for Joe Public, played for the Islanders in 2008 and led the team to the USL First Division championship after playing with the Carolina Dynamo in the USL Premier Development League in 2006, where he was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year.

He played collegiately for Liberty University, scoring eight goals in 65 career games, and had nine goals over 16 games for his home country's team.

Richardson, a native of Guyana, joined the Islanders after playing for the Carolina RailHawks in USL-1. In 2008, he played for Major League Soccer's Colorado Rapids.

In 22 games for his country's national team, he has nine goals.
