The Santa Clarita Blue Heat of the USL W-League announced the signings Friday of midfielders Marisha Schumacher-Hodge, Taryne Boudreau and Danielle Bitonti for the 2012 season.
Schumacher-Hodge played in Women's Professional Soccer for the Atlanta Beat and Boston Breakers and in the semi-pro Women's Premier Soccer League with the Boston Aztecs. She was a two-time Midfielder of the Year in the America East Conference (2006 and 2008) for Boston University.
She currently plays of 2012 UEFA Women's Champions League champion Thor/KA in Iceland.
Boudreau, a native of Canada where she played for many professional teams, was a 2011 Player of the Year at LSU and played on Canada's 2006 and 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup teams.
Bitonti graduated last year from Cal State Fullerton, where she started or appeared in 71 career games. She was also named an All-Big West Conference Honorable Mention member.
