Blast Gets Past Wave In Latest MISL Championship Series Preview

Machel Millwood had a natural hat trick and Shaun David fired off a three-point shot as the host Baltimore Blast, the 2011-12 Major Indoor Soccer League's Eastern Division regular season champion, beat the league's most dominant team in the Central Division-leading Milwaukee Wave 17-13 Saturday in another preview of the upcoming MISL Championship Series.

Max Ferdinand also have three points with a goal and an assist for Baltimore, now 15-6 and facing the Norfolk SharX on the road Sunday.

Ptah Myers, Stephen DeRoux and JT Noone each added a goal for the Blast.

Guiliano Oliveiro led the Wave (16-4) with a pair of two-point goals, Jonathan Greenfield got off a three-point goal and Marcio Leite and Hewerton Moreira each had a goal and an assist.

Milwaukee travels Sunday to face the SharX, then at the Syracuse Silver Knights Wednesday, before facing the Missouri Comets next Friday and Sunday at Independence Events Center.
