Estupinan Tiebreaker Gives Chivas USA Win Over Galaxy In MLS Reserve League Play

Assisted by Michael Lahoud and Mariano Trujillo in the 61st minute, Victor Estupinan scored the game-winning goal as Chivas USA snapped a two-game winning streak in Major League Soccer's Reserve League by the Los Angeles Galaxy in a 2-1 victory at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA Monday.

The Galaxy took the eventual halftime lead when, in the 25th minute, Jack McBean connected with Hector Jimenez on his team-leading third goal of the season, but, in the 58th minute, Chivas tied the game when Jorge Flores fed a pass to Marcos Mondaini for a score.

Chivas, in fourth place in the West Division at 2-3-3 with nine points, hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps at The Home Depot Center October 18, then finishes their 2011 season hosting the Seattle Sounders October 25.

Los Angeles is in last place in the division at 1-6-2 and hosts their final game of the season October 23 against the San Jose Earthquakes, also at Carson.
