Juninho Stoppage Time Game-Winner Helps Galaxy Edge Morelia In CCL Play

Juninho's goal in second-half stoppage time allowed host Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer to defeat Mexico's Morelia 2-1 in the fifth game of Group A pool play at the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League tournament Wednesday at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

Mike Magee opened the scoring for the Galaxy, then Morelia's Marquez Lugo forced the draw that was later broken by Juninho.

The four-team group, which also features LD Alajuelnese of Costa Rica, has a logjam for first place as the Galaxy (3-2-0), Morelia (3-2-0) and Alajuelnese (3-1-0 but play Thursday versus Motagua of Honduras) all have nine points and only the top two teams can advance to the knockout round with six other competitors.

The Galaxy host Real Salt Lake in their next MLS game Saturday, but end their CCL pool play schedule October 20 by hosting Motagua.
