Galaxy Shut Out Whitecaps At The Home Depot Center

Mike Magee had a pair of goals, David Beckham had two asissts and Robbie Keane and Bryan Jordan had a goal and an assist each as the best team in Major League Soccer, the defending Western Conference regular season champion and Supporters Shield champion Los Angeles Galaxy, shut out the league's and conference's worst team in the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-0 Saturday at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

Keane and Beckham worked with Keane on the game's first goal in the 40th minute, Jordan assisted Keane on his 64th minute strike, and Beckahm and Jordan collaborated on Magee's 75th minute goal.

The Galaxy, who recently became the first team to clinch one of 10 playoff berths in MLS this season, are 16-3-10 with 58 points. Los Angeles next heads to Costa Rica to face LD Alajuelnese in group stage play at the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League tournament Wednesday before taking on the Eastern Conference-leading Columbus Crew at Crew Stadium this Saturday,

Vancouver, last in the conference and league at 4-14-10 with 22 points and winless on the road at 0-11-5, host the Seattle Sounders Saturday in their final game at Empire Field before moving to the renovated BC Place Stadium.
