Pablo Gabas scored the game's only goal off a free kick as Costa Rica's LD Alajuelnese shut out Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0 in the fourth of six games in CONCACAF Champions League Group A play Wednesday at Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium in Alajuela, Costa Rica for the Galaxy's second group stage loss.
Alajuelnese now leads the four-team group with a 3-1-0 record and nine points and will host Motagua of Honduras next Thursday.
The Galaxy, MLS' defending Supporters Shield and Western Conference regular season champion, are now 2-2-0 with six points and temporarily tied with Mexico's Morelia, who they host next Wednesday at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
