FC Dallas Sets Franchise, CCL Record For Fastest Goal Scored In Draw To Tauro

Danny Cruz scored the fastest goal in the history of Major League Soccer's FC Dallas franchise and the CONCACAF Champions League off a Jackson Goncalves assist 23 seconds into an eventual 1-1 draw to Panama's Tauro in the third game of Group C play in the 2011-12 tournament Wednesday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX.

Tauro tied the game in the 32nd minute as Luis Moreno converted a penalty kick after Dallas' Ugo Ihemelu tripped Victor Mendieta.

With each team earning a point in the standings, FC Dallas remains on top at 2-0-1 and returns to tournament play next Wednesday, when they host Pumas UNAM of Mexico, but will first take on the New York Red Bulls in MLS play Saturday at Pizza Hut Park.
