Draw Is A Downer For Rapids, Earthquakes Wanting To End Winless Streaks

The San Jose Earthquakes, on an unassisted 19th minute goal by Chris Wondolowski for his team-high 11th of the season, and the defending Major League Soccer champion Colorado Rapids, who saw Drew Moor score on a 71st minute unassisted goal, played to a 1-1 tie Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO that extended both teams' current winless streaks to three and five games, respectively.

The Rapids are 10-9-12 with 42 points and are in fifth place in the Western Conference. Colorado next plays Metapan of El Salvador in the fifth game of Group B play in the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League Wednesday on the road, then hosts FC Dallas, also playing in the CCL event, next Saturday.

San Jose, meanwhile, is in eighth place in the Western Conference at 6-11-13 with 31 points and will host Sporting Kansas City next Saturday at Buck Shaw Stadium.
