Dike Scores Twice For Timbers In Reserve League Win Over Chivas USA

Bright Dike had a pair of goals, Jorge Perlaza, Rodney Wallace and Brian Umony added goals and Peter Lowry assisted on two scores as the Portland Timbers defeated Chivas USA 5-1 Tuesday in their home finale of the Major League Soccer Reserve League schedule at JELD-WEN Field.

The victory extended the Timbers' winning streak in the league to six games and they are second in the West Division at 5-2-2 with 17 points. Portland ends the Reserve League season this Monday at the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Chivas' only goal came off 16-year-old forward Ben Spencer, who made his debut and was assisted on his first career goal in the 62nd minute by Eric Gonzalez.

Chivas is in last place in the division at 1-3-3 with six points and will play the Los Angeles Galaxy in their season finale October 10 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
