DiCicco Retires From Breakers; Cole Named New Head Coach

Former US Women's National Team head coach Tony DiCicco, the all-time winningest coach in US Soccer history at 103-8-8, announced his immediate retirement Thursday as head coach of Women's Professional Soccer's Boston Breakers franchise and turned the reigns over to former associate head coach Lisa Cole.

DiCicco will remain with the franchise as a consultant.

In three seasons with the team, DiCicco was 23-26-10 and brought the Breakers to within a game of the 2010 WPS Championship Game.

Cole previously worked with DiCicco as president and assistant coach of SoccerPlus Connecticut Reds of the Women's Premier Soccer League.
