Davis To Cameron To Top Of Western Standings For Dynamo...For Now

Brad Davis' pass to Geoff Cameron in the 87th minute wound up being the goal that gave the Houston Dynamo a 1-0 shutout over host FC Dallas Saturday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX and put them atop the standings in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference at 10-9-12 with 42 points Saturday.

The Dynamo currently have a single point lead on Sporting Kansas City (10-9-11) and the Columbus Crew (11-10-8), both tied for second at 41 points, but SKC played to a 1-1 draw to the Philadelphia Union Friday and the Crew hosts the Western Conference and Supporters Shield-leading Los Angeles Galaxy (16-3-10, 58 points) Saturday.

Houston's next game is next Saturday when they host the Chicago Fire.

FC Dallas, currently in fourth in the Western Conference at 13-10-7 with 46 points, travels to the defending league champion Colorado Rapids next Saturday after facing Panama's Tauro on the road in the fifth game of Group C play Wednesday in the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League tournament.
