Jeff Cunningham had a pair of goals and assisted on another by Justin Meram, who later assisted on a Kevin Burns play as the host Columbus Crew beat Toronto FC 4-2 Sunday in Major League Soccer Reserve League action from Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH.
Shaun Francis assisted on both of Cunnigham's goals in the second half.
Javier Martina and Doneil Henry scored for Toronto off assists by Matt Gold and Nathan Sturgis, respectively.
The Crew are in second place in the East Division standings at 5-1-0 with 15 points, three behind DC United (5-0-2, 17 points) for the division lead. Columbus travels to the Philadelphia Union next Sunday.
Toronto FC is in last place in the division at 0-5-2 with two points and don't play again until they host the New York Red Bulls October 1.
