Pablo Campos scored goals in the 19th and 38th minutes off Kupono Low and Brian Farber, respectively, as the best team in the North American Soccer League, the Carolina RailHawks, set a new single-season record for wins in a 2-0 shutout of FC Tampa Bay Saturday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC.
Carolina is now 17-4-3 with 54 points and travels to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Wednesday.
FC Tampa Bay is in third place in the league standings at 9-8-7 with 34 points and a win Tuesday at the NSC Minnesota Stars will officially clinch one of the NASL's six available playoff spots.
