Busy Nagbe Leads Timbers In 3-3 MLS Reserve League Draw To Galaxy

Darlington Nagbe teamed with Eric Alexander on Bright Dike's 50th minute goal, scored another off Rodrigo Lopez in the 78th minute, and had an unassisted goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time as the host Portland Timbers played the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-3 in Major League Socer's Reserve Division Thursday.

The Galaxy took the opening lead in the 30th minute as Jack McBean and Ryan Thomas fed passes to Miguel Lopez for a goal before Dike leveled the score at 1-1 after 50 minutes.

Los Angeles took a 3-1 lead in the game when Jovan Kirovski assisted on a Thomas goal in the 66th minute and, six minutes later, Paulo Cardozo had an unassisted goal before the Timbers rallied back, only to settle for a point in the standings.

The Timbers extended their unbeaten streak in the MLS RL to eight games and they are 4-2-2 with 14 points, good for second place in the West Division. Portland will host Chivas USA in their next RL game September 27.

The Galaxy are 1-5-2 with five points, tied for last in the division with the Vancouver Whitecaps (1-4-2), and will host the San Jose Earthquakes October 3.
