Returning after two months following knee surgery and scoring for the first time since having a hat trick April 29 against DC United, Will Bruin was assisted on an 80th minute game-winning goal by Luiz Camargo and Danny Cruz as the host Houston Dynamo edged the San Jose Earthquaes 2-1 Saturday in Major League Soccer play from Robertson Stadium.
San Jose opened the scoring in the 40th minute when Steven Beltashour and Joey Gjertsen assistd Khari Stephenson on their lone goal, which gave them the halftime lead.
Brad Davis tied the game for Houston in the 48th minute on a penalty kick.
The Dynamo, 9-9-12 with 39 points, are tied for third place in the Eastern Conference with the Philadelphia Union (9-7-12) and will take on FC Dallas this Saturday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX.
San Jose is in eighth place in the Western Conference at 6-11-11 and 29 points and travel this week to the Portland Timbers Wednesday and the defending league champion Colorado Rapids this Saturday.
