Yosimar Arias' 25th minute penalty kick led previously winless Herediano of Costa Rica to a 1-0 shutout of Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders in the fourth game of Group D play at the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League tournament Tuesday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, WA.
The Sounders remain the top team in the group with a 3-1-0 record and nine points and next faces Comunicaciones in Guatemala next Tuesday.
Herediano, now 1-3-0 with three points but still in last place, travel to Mexico to play Monterrey next Tuesday.
Eight teams -- the top two teams coming from each of four, four-team groups -- will advance to the tournament's knockout stage.
