Jamie Watson had a hat trick and Dennis Chin opened the game in the 22nd minute with an unassisted goal as 2011 USL PRO regular season and American Division champion Orlando City Soccer Club shut out the Harrisburg City Islanders 4-0 in both teams' final game Friday at Orlando Citrus Bowl Field.
Watson scored on a 55th minute penalty kick, an 80th minute unassisted goal and was assisted by Erik Ustruck on a 84th minute strike as the Lions finished with a record of 15-3-6 with 51 points and earned home field advantage throughout the USL PRO playoffs, which will begin with them hosting the Charleston Battery, who edged the Charlotte Eagles 4-3 Friday at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, SC.
The City Islanders finished the regular season at 10-7-7 with 37 points, tied with the Rochester Rhinos (11-8-4) for the lead in the National Division, but Harrisburg will be the second seed in their divisional playoffs, no matter how the Rhinos play.
A win or a draw by Rochester gives them the division championship outrightly and a loss gives them the title via the head-to-head record between them this season, with Rochester winning two games to one.
