The US Men's National Soccer Team announced Wednesday they will face Ecuador in a friendly match October 11 at a soon-to-be-announced site in Connecticut.
It will be the team's first game in that state since a 4-2 loss to the Czech Republic prior to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The US, ranked 28th in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings, last faced Ecuador, currently ranked 64th, in March 2007 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, but haven't beaten a team from South America in 12 friendlies since.
Ecuador went winless in last month's Copa America tournament.
