United Ices Whitecaps At RFK Stadium

Chris Pontius had two scores, Andy Najar and Stephen King added a goal each, and back-to-back Player of the Week Dwayne De Rosario assisted on three of the four goals as host DC United routed the Vancouver Whitecaps 4-0 in Major League Soccer play at RFK Stadium Saturday.

The Whitecaps, in last place in the Western Conference standings and with the league's worst record at 3-12-9 with 18 points, are winless in their last 13 road games and have lost nine of those games. Vancouver is at the Portland Timbers next Saturday.

DC United, at 7-6-9 with 30 points, is tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference with Sporting Kansas City (7-7-9), who they face at Livestrong Sporting Park next Sunday after facing the Chicago Fire on the road this Thursday.
