Ubiparipovic Pair Gives Impact Third Straight Victory

Sinisa Ubiparipovic scored goals in the sixth and 72nd minute as the host Montreal Impact won their third straight North American Soccer League game by shutout, beating the NSC Minnesota Stars 2-0 Saturday at Saputo Stadium.

The Impact are in seventh place in the league standings at 6-10-7 with 25 points and will travel September 7 to Bayamon, PR to face the Puerto Rico Islanders.

NSC, meanwhile, is 7-7-8 with 29 points and tied for third place in the league with FC Edmonton (8-10-5) for fourth place. The Stars will host FC Tampa Bay September 6 at NSC Stadium in Blaine, MN.
