Saad Scores First MLS Goal In Reserve League Win For Sporting Kansas City

Former University of Michigan player Soony Saad, whose rights were won by Sporting Kansas City in a recent weighted allocation lottery, scored his first goal of his Major League Soccer career off a Kei Kamara assist Monday in the third minute of a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids in a Reserve League contest at the Swope Park Training Facility in Overland Park, KS.

Sporting Kansas City improved its record to 2-2-2 with three points and is now tied for fourth in the Central/Mountain Division with Real Salt Lake (1-3-0).

The Rapids are in last place in the division at 0-4-1 with a point.

Both teams play again August 28 -- SKC hosting FC Dallas and the Rapids taking on the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.
