Rosales Goal Leads Sounders To Shutout Of FC Dallas

Mauro Rosales' 16th minute goal was all the scoring the visiting Seattle Sounders needed to shut out FC Dallas 1-0 Saturday in Major League Soccer play Saturday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX.

Seattle leap-frogged over Dallas in the Western Conference standings and are in second place at 12-5-9 with 45 points, seven points away from overtaking the Los Angeles Galaxy as the league's and the conference's best team. The Sounders host the Eastern Conference-leading Columbus Crew next Saturday.

Dallas, meanwhile, fell to third at 12-7-7 with 43 points, three behind Seattle for reclaiming their spot in the standings. They take on Sporting Kansas City next Saturday at Livestrong Sporting Park.
