Red-Hot Fire Upset Defending Champion Rapids At Toyota Park

Dominic Oduro and Cory Gibbs scored goals as the host Chicago Fire won their fourth straight Major League Soccer game and ended the seven-game winning streak of the defending champion Colorado Rapids in a 2-0 victory Saturday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.

The Fire are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference at 4-7-15 with 27 points and will face the San Jose Earthquakes next on the road September 10.

The Rapids are in fourth place in the Western Conference at 10-7-11 with 41 points and meet the conference- and league-leading Los Angeles Galaxy September 9 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
