Red Bulls Shut Out Revolution In MLS RL Action At Gillette Stadium

Carlos Mendes scored in the 32nd minute off a John Rooney assista dn Corey Hertzog fired off an unassisted 49th minute goal as the visiting New York Red Bulls shut out the host New England Revolution 2-0 in Major League Soccer Rseserve League contest at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA Sunday.

The Red Bulls are in fourth place in the East Division at 2-4-0 with six points and doesn't play another Reserve League game until October 1 against Toronto FC at BMO Field.

New England is 3-3-1 with 10 points and in third place in the division. The Revolution are at the Philadelphia Union next Monday, then host Toronto FC September 2.
