Megan Rapinoe scored the game-winning goal off an assist by Lisa De Vanna in the 86th minute as host magicJack defeated Sky Blue FC 3-2 Wednesday in Women's Professional Soccer play from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL.
magicJack player-coach Abby Wambach had a pair of goals for her team, assisted by Marian Dalmy in the fifth minute and Sophie Schmidt in the 77th minute as they improed to 7-6-2 with 22 points, good for third place in the league standings. magicJack next faces the Boston Breakers Saturday at Harvard University.
Eniola Aluko, assisted in the 56th minute by Heather O'Reilly and in the 84th by Adriana, had both of Sky Blue's goals as the team holds down the fourth and final league playoff spor at 5-7-4 with 19 points. They will take on the Philadelphia Independence at Widener University Sunday.
