Pitchkolan Post Powers Puerto Rico, Gives FC Edmonton Fifth Straight Loss

Araon Pitchkolan's goal in the first minute of second-half stoppage time was all the Puerto Rico Islanders needed to defeat host FC Edmonton 1-0 in North American Soccer League action Saturday from Foote Field.

Puerto Rico improved to 9-5-5 with 32 points and is in second place in the league standings behind the Carolina RailHawks (14-3-2, 44), who they host next Saturday after they welcome the last place Atlanta Silverbacks.

FC Edmonton, losers of their last five games, is in fifth place at 7-8-4 with 25 points, three behind FC Tampa Bay (7-6-6, 27) for fourth place. Edmonton hosts the Fort Lauderdale Strikers next Sunday.
