Martin Nunez's second-half goal was all the scoring needed for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers shut out the host NSC Minnesota Stars 1-0 Wednesday in North American Soccer League play at NSC Stadium in Blaine, MN.
The Strikers won the four-game season series 2-0-2.
Fort Lauderdale, 6-5-9 with 27 points and in fifth place in the league standings, takes on FC Edmonton at Foote Field Saturday.
NSC, 7-5-7 with 28 points and tied for third place with FC Tampa Bay (7-6-7), is at Tampa Bay's Al Lang Stadium Saturday.
