Major League Soccer and NBC Sports Group -- made up of NBC Sports and the soon-to-be NBC Sports Network (current called Versus, but changing its name January 2) -- will air Major League Soccer and US Men's National Team games as part of a three-year media rights deal that begins in 2012, it was announced Wednesday.
The MLS games set to air on NBC Sports (two regular season games and two playoff games each year) will mark the league's return to network televsion after a decade.
The new NBC Sports Network will air 38 MLS regular season games and three playoff games each season.
Both entities will air a pair of US Men's National Team games and the group also gets digital rights to all games across all platforms and devices.
