Kickers Move Onto American Division Championship After Shootout Win Over Hammerheads

Ronnie Pascale made the game-saving penalty kick in the fifth round of a 5-4 shootout as the third-seeded Richmond Kickers advanced to the USL PRO American Division Championship Game after playing the host and second-seeded Wilmington Hammerheads to a scoreless draw through 120 minutes of play Friday at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, NC.

The Kickers will take on the winner of Saturday's other semifinal between regular season champion and top seed Orlando City Soccer Club and the fourth-seeded Charleston Battery at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

If Charleston pulls off the upset, the championship game will be played at Richmond's City Stadium; if Orlando wins, they will host the title clash.
