The era of Jurgen Klinsmann as head coach of the US Men's National Soccer Team continued Thursday with the announcement of a 22-man roster for an international friendly this Wednesday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia against Mexico, who defeated the US 4-2 in the championship game of the CONCACAF Gold Cup at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena June 25 in what wound up being ex-coach Bob Bradley's last game after five years with the team.
The US has lost their last three games to Mexico, the longest losing streak against them in 11 years.
The last time the US beat El Tri was a 2-0 victory in 2010 CONCACAF Qualifying for the FIFA World Cup in February 2009 in Columbus, OH.
