Islanders Slip Past FC Tampa Bay

The Puerto Rico Islanders extended their North American Soccer League winning streak to four games and ended a season-long four-game overall unbeaten streak and similar four-game home winning streak of FC Tampa Bay in a 2-1 victory Saturday at Juam Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, PR.

After Mike Ambersley put Tampa Bay on top with a 1-0 goal in the 30th minute, Noah Delgado evened the game with an assist to Nick Addlery in the 33rd minute for the Islanders, but David Foley had no trouble scoring goals, especially an unassisted goal in the 75th minute, for the victory.

Puerto Rico is in second place in the league's standings at 12-5-5 with 41 points and will play their next two games next Saturday and the following Tuesday against FC Edmonton in Bayamon.
