Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire Thursday announced the signing of 17-year-old forward Kellen Gulley as their second Home Grown Player on the roster, following midfielder Victor Pineda, who signed in August 2010.
Gulley plays for the Chicago Fire Juniors team in Mississippi and is the first signee not to come from one of team's juniors teams in the Chicagoland area.
Gulley will begin training with the senior team Monday, but will not play until the 2012 MLS season.
