Major League Soccer's FC Dallas traded second-year midfielder Eric Alexander to the Portland Timbers Friday in exchange for defender Jeremy Hall.
Alexander, Dallas' fourth round pick in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, scored two goals with three assists in 39 career games, starting 16, and has a career-high 17 shots so far this season.
Hall, originally the 11th overall pick of the New York Red Bulls in the 2009 draft, was traded to Portland in November 2010.
He started 31 of 37 regular season games with the Red Bulls and assisted on two goals.
With Portland this season, he has assisted on three goals.
