Jose Angulo's unassisted goal in the 87th minute gave the host Charlotte Eagles a 1-0 USL PRO victory over the Harrisburg City Islanders Wednesday in the Eagles home season finale at Charlotte Christian Stadium.
Charlotte is 9-8-6 with 23 points and in fourth place in the American Division, giving them a playoff berth. The Eagles end their 2011 regular season schedule Friday at the Charleston Battery.
Harrisburg, at 10-6-7 with 37 points, is now tied for the National Division lead with the Rochester Rhinos (11-8-4). The City Islanders close their season on the road Friday against the top team in the division and the league, Orlando City Soccer Club.
