Deja Vu All Over Again -- FC Dallas Beats Toronto FC In CCL Match

Wednesday night, in the 19th minute of play at BMO Field in Toronto, Jackson scored to give FC Dallas a 1-0 lead in their all-Major League Soccer matchup in Group C of the 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League tournament against host Toronto FC.

Then, heavy rains and lightning forced officials to end the game and reschedule the game for Thursday morning and for it to be played in its entirety.

And, Thursday morning at BMO Field in Toronto, Jack Stewart, a defender loaned to them by the NSC Minnesota Stars of the North American Soccer League and who didn't play in Wednesday's game, scored the game's lone goal in the 45th minute off a pass from Ugo Ihemelu as FC Dallas won the game 1-0 and now leads the group wth a 2-0-0 record and six points.

MLS teams competing in this year's tournament -- FC Dallas, Toronto, the Los Angeles Galaxy, Seattle Sounders and the Colorado Rapids -- are 6-1-1 in the tournament so far.

FC Dallas will return to league play Saturday at Sporting Kansas City and will host Tauro in their next CCL game September 14 at Pizza Hut Park.

Toronto, in second place in the group at 1-1-0 with three points, hosts the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday and will travel to Mexico to face Pumas September 14 in each team's third group stage game.
