Dwayne De Rosario assisted on goals by Santino Quaranta in the 19th minute and Chris Pontius in the 64th and converted a penalty kick in thr 86th minute as host DC United played Toronto FC to a 3-3 draw in Major League Soccer play Saturday at RFK Stadium.
Peri Marosevic (unassisted in 52nd minute) and Julian de Guzman (off Ashtone Morgan in the 69th minute) scored game-tying goals for Toronto and Joao Plata connected with Danny Koevermans on a potential game-winning goal in the 86th minute before De Rosario scored his third and final goal of the night.
DC is 6-6-9 with 27 points and is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings, two points behind the Houston Dynamo (8-7-10, 28) for fifth place. United hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps this Saturday.
Toronto is 3-11-11 with 20 points and is in eighth place in those standings, two points behind the New England Revolution (4-10-9, 21) for seventh place. Real Salt Lake welcomes Toronto this Saturday to Rio Tinto Stadium.
