The Missouri Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League announced Wednesday they have signed defender Ryan Junge and re-signed defender Stefan Stokic to two-year contracts.
Junge, drafted in the 2007 Major League Soccer SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew, started three of 13 games in their 2008 MLS Cup championship season.
In 2010, with the Omaha Vipers, now in the Professional Arena Soccer League, he scored 21 of the team's 31 defensive goals and joined Brian Harris on the MISL's All-Rookie Defensive Team.
Stokic, born in Kansas City but of Serbian heritage, began his career at age 19 in Sweden with Malmo IF before returning to the States in 2004 to play for the original MISL Kansas City Comets, where he had five goals and seven assists that season.
He also played in 2009 with the New Jersey Ironmen in the Xtreme Soccer League.
